About this role
Peham integrates AI into client products and our own platforms — chatbots, voice agents, and workflow automation that people rely on daily.
As an AI engineering intern, you will start with scoped tasks: prompt iteration, API integration, test cases, and small features under review from the team.
You might be a CS student, a self-taught builder, or someone with ML coursework. Show us something you have tried — a bot, a RAG demo, or a fine-tuned experiment — and we will meet you where you are.
What you will do
- Assist with LLM integrations, prompt templates, and structured output schemas.
- Build and run evaluation sets to compare model responses before release.
- Implement small chatbot or automation features with code review from a mentor.
- Log and document failures, edge cases, and cost/latency trade-offs you observe.
- Learn our stack for AI services and how features connect to web products.
What we are looking for
- Currently enrolled or graduated within the last 12 months in CS, engineering, or equivalent self-taught path.
- Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with at least one LLM API or AI framework — coursework and personal projects count.
- Curiosity about prompt design, reliability, and what makes AI useful outside a demo.
- A GitHub profile, portfolio, or write-up showing something you have built or experimented with.
- Reliable written English for notes, PRs, and async updates.
Nice to have
- RAG or embedding search experiments.
- Chatbot or WhatsApp bot side projects.
- Interest in voice AI or multilingual models.
